Unheard Voices began in 2000 as a collaborative effort of the YWCA Dayton, Wright State University’s Women’s Center and Studies Program, and four women artists. Since then, the artists from each year have identified and mentored four new artists for the upcoming year. Unheard Voices showcases the work of women who have not yet shown or rarely show their work publicly.
